As I've noted, the exposure to new technologies and processes during software development tends to make our teammates fight for control and insight. The solution to this is to have multiple teams collaborate on a common goal.
Another difference is that ArchOps is usually employed by organizations that are using a suite of tools that help automate some aspects of the software delivery process. The Ceph, EMR, and OpenStack toolsets come to mind. However, while these tools have been great for infrastructure automation, they have not been the most productive in software delivery.
